Lincoln Arrests and Record Holders
Lincoln keeps its police records inside city hall. The municipal administration page lists Chief of Police Andrew Breshears and Officer Ryan McCallum. City Clerk Sabrina Brown is the clearest records contact. Start any arrest report request there. If the arrest led to county custody, the Benton County Detention Facility opens a separate intake record. Missouri Case.net and the Benton County Circuit Clerk then carry the court layer.
BCSO moves every person it arrests to its detention facility for booking and incarceration. The county roster is the shared booking route. Lincoln, Warsaw, and Cole Camp all flow through it. Not every Lincoln citation ends up there. A traffic stop can stay a police encounter that never becomes a jail booking. Roster entries also stay silent on case outcomes. Lincoln's 2020 Census population of 1,144 explains its spot on the city map, not how many arrests happen there.
Where Lincoln Arrests Get Published
Lincoln Police publishes no arrest feed. No bookings page, daily bulletin, or mugshot gallery exists. The city page covers staff and contacts only. The official BCSO roster is different. It can list a name, booking number, age, booking date and time, charges, bond, image, and profile, though its own warning notes the page serves convenience rather than acting as a certified record.
| Source | Photo | Official? | What it answers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lincoln Police and City Clerk | By request if releasable | Yes | City arrest or incident report |
| BCSO roster | Often visible | Yes, with convenience disclaimer | County booking and custody view |
| BCSO News | Not consistent | Yes | Selected operation narratives |
| myKDKD or KRMS | Not consistent | No, local news | Weekly summaries or chosen stories |
| Booking publishers | May copy photos | No | Discovery only, possibly stale |
Start with official sources anyway. A released person drops off Current while an outside page can linger unchanged, and BustedNewspaper and RecentlyBooked may name Lincoln inside county entries while each site controls its own posting timing. A stale PublicJailRecords archive adds nothing. None can confirm live custody or identity.
Check a Lincoln Arrest Booking
A clean search traces the record as it moves. County custody questions start with BCSO Current. Run a name search, then sort by Date or use Show All with pagination. Open a likely profile and compare the booking number, intake date and time, charges, and bond. A new intake can precede its public tile. No refresh interval is published, so keep the timing loose and check Released if the person may have left the jail.
- Search the official BCSO Current roster by name.
- Use Date sorting and review more than the first page.
- Record the booking number before comparing another source.
- Check Released for a person no longer shown in current custody.
- Call the jail when timing is urgent or an intake may still be processed.
- Ask Lincoln Police for its report and use Case.net for the later court case.
A booking timestamp rarely equals the arrest time. Bond sets a release condition, nothing more. Disposition is the court's later result, and the Benton County booking guide explains why a public photo and the official report beneath it are not interchangeable.
Lincoln Police Record Requests
Lincoln gives residents a more specific municipal route than many small towns. The administration page lists both the City Clerk and police contacts at City Hall. A strong request names the person in full. Add the date range and location if known. Say whether you want an arrest report, an incident report, or a releasable photo. County intake paperwork goes to BCSO instead.
No Lincoln online form, photo fee, or guaranteed turnaround exists. Missouri Sunshine Law skips special forms anyway. It wants a response as soon as possible, and no later than the end of the third business day after receipt. Production can run longer when the custodian explains the delay and gives an expected time. Ask for electronic delivery. Request a fee estimate before any copying starts.

Precision separates the police narrative from the jail tile. Closed records deserve a reason. If a record arrives closed or redacted, ask for the legal basis and any open portions, and if the request belongs elsewhere, have the city name the correct custodian.
Lincoln Arrest Log Policy Gap
Lincoln's oddity is a gap between paper and practice. The city has a codified public-records policy yet no public-facing arrest feed. Chapter 120 of the Open Meetings and Records Policy, hosted on eCode360, describes law-enforcement arrest and incident records. It even names a daily log if one is maintained. A policy reference proves no searchable arrest page. Confirm current custodian practices with the city.
That distinction keeps a lookup honest. A rule about opening records never promises a web database. When no municipal log appears online, request the record through the clerk or police contact. County custody points to BCSO. For what prosecutors filed or how a judge ruled, use the court, since three sources can describe one event at different stages.
The Lincoln records policy supplies the municipal legal context. The official city administration page controls current contact routing.
Lincoln Booking News Patterns
Lincoln arrest coverage turns up in two places. The BCSO news feed and KRMS both report on the town. One August 2025 narcotics search in Lincoln ended with two arrests on 24-hour holds. That story proves local arrest news exists. It does not prove the city keeps a standing blotter, though. BCSO News runs event-based stories rather than a full booking list.
myKDKD takes a different approach. Its January 13 to 19, 2025 sheriff arrest report covered Lincoln. The report also covered other Benton County cities. Names, cities, and arrest dates appeared in one place. Warrants or charges, bond amounts, and held or released status did too. The report ran after the week it covered. So news works best as a multi-day summary of Benton County arrests. It is not a live custody source. The weekly myKDKD report sits on the station's own page.

Dated news stories give useful context. Still, BCSO and the court hold the current custody answers.
Lincoln Booking Custody Stages
Just booked, current, released, and sentenced mean different things. A new Lincoln booking may not show online yet. Current means the roster shows county custody at the moment you check it. Released simply ends that county status. A sentenced state prisoner, or someone on Missouri probation or parole, belongs in the Missouri Department of Corrections search instead. A fresh Lincoln arrest does not.
The Benton County Detention Facility holds pretrial detainees, people serving county sentences, and people awaiting transport to Missouri DOC. Court dates and case results live with Case.net or the Circuit Clerk. MOVANS sends custody notices by SMS or email. Missouri changed its local-jail registration rules in 2026, so follow the current signup steps. An empty result still deserves a call to the jail.
